Shabby Shoes

Close-Up, Macro

Parting with a pair of well-worn shoes.  They have been worn to run, walk and bike many miles upon the feet of their owner.   Thus, the soles are cracked beyond repair, allowing water to soak socks within seconds.  The stitching is coming apart, granting dirt and debris entry.  And the toe box is worn paper-thin; ergo, a rent through the flimsy covering is imminent.  Time to cast these away for a more sound pair.

Entranced by rural and urban decay. I am drawn to these forlorn sites because they emote conflicting sentiments of beauty and disintegration.
