God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen

Christmas, Close-Up, Macro

Did you know the Christmas carol “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen” is reputed to be one of the oldest carols?  I think this song is the perfect accompaniment for these images.  In an effort to remain concise, I chose one verse from the carol:   “From God our Heavenly Father, A blessed Angel came; And unto certain Shepherds, Brought tidings of the same:  How that in Bethlehem was born, The Son of God by Name.  O tidings of comfort and joy, Comfort and joy, O tidings of comfort and joy”.

Entranced by rural and urban decay. I am drawn to these forlorn sites because they emote conflicting sentiments of beauty and disintegration.
