Christmas, Close-Up, Macro

This little elf dressed in tattered green felt, sporting a bedraggled beard and a stained face used to hang on my grandma’s tree as I was growing up.  I completely forgot I still had him; he was tucked away in the bottom of one of my Christmas totes.  I pulled him out of storage yesterday thinking I should try my hand at the “Elf on a Shelf” phenomenon.  Gaston (the elf) certainly was a busy guy.

Entranced by rural and urban decay. I am drawn to these forlorn sites because they emote conflicting sentiments of beauty and disintegration.
