Old Lego Blocks

Close-Up, Lego, Macro

Every time we visit my mom and dad’s, our son pulls out my Lego blocks that I used to play with as a child.  He has spent many hours constructing, inventing and assembling over the last eight or so years.

When I decided to photograph one his latest creations, I noticed how worn and dirty some of the pieces are.   You can even see the tooth marks in some of the blocks, from me and my three siblings prying them apart using our teeth.

Entranced by rural and urban decay. I am drawn to these forlorn sites because they emote conflicting sentiments of beauty and disintegration.
