Frost and Ice Crystals

Close-Up, Macro, Nature

My husband and I hiked along the winding Koksilah River, where winter still has its frosty grip on the landscape.  The trail is bare in most spots, albeit frozen. But along its borders the snow is slowly receding, a tell-tale sign that spring is approaching.  What a wonderful way to spend a morning, happily stopping along the path to photograph these delicate icy splendors.

Entranced by rural and urban decay. I am drawn to these forlorn sites because they emote conflicting sentiments of beauty and disintegration.
