Texture 2

Abstract, Close-Up
When I was first brainstorming about this concept, I was thinking about photographing an object in an unusual setting. So my first step was to find an item with visual interest.

Off to the garage I went, and spotted this rusty pipe wrench.  I then proceeded to rack my brain and the remainder of the house for an atypical backdrop.  My concept morphed somewhat when I came across one of my stone cookie sheets.  As I placed the wrench atop the stone, I realized the two appeared to be made of the same material, cool.

With a slight adaptation to my endeavor, I  now  hope to create more of these types of photographs in the future.

Entranced by rural and urban decay. I am drawn to these forlorn sites because they emote conflicting sentiments of beauty and disintegration.
