Revisiting Old Images

Abstract, Landscapes

I was lacking inspiration for today, so I started looking through some of my older works for ideas. I came across these two images that I had created a few years ago.

The first is my final assignment for the Photoshop module, which was part of my web design course. I had to cover my base animal (giraffe) with another animal’s (cow) skin. A lot of blood, sweat and tears went into this project. I can’t remember how many times I had to start over, until I was satisfied with the effect.

The second image I shot with my old point and shoot camera in 2011. I had left the photo untouched until a  few months later, I came across a Photoshop tutorial I really liked and applied it to this photo. Obviously, two years later, I still like the image, and am sharing it with you.

Entranced by rural and urban decay. I am drawn to these forlorn sites because they emote conflicting sentiments of beauty and disintegration.
