Cupcake, Blaze and Snowflake

Animals, Landscapes, Nature

These horses reside at my in-laws in northern Saskatchewan. The three-year old Paint is our son’s and the others are my brother-in-law’s horses.  Cupcake and her mother are in the farm-yard and the others are in the big pasture a quarter-mile away.

Despite being three, Cupcake does not venture far from her mother.  I had a difficult time capturing these shots of only her.

When we got to the pasture, I was astonished to see that Blaze still protects Snowflake, who is about 10 years old.   My husband informed me that is quite common for a mother and her foal to remain close; how fascinating.

Entranced by rural and urban decay. I am drawn to these forlorn sites because they emote conflicting sentiments of beauty and disintegration.
