Coppen Road Bridge

Landscapes, Nature, Rural Decay

The bridge on Coppen road was built by the Dominion Bridge Company Limited, which was a Canadian steel bridge constructor originally based in Lachine, Québec.

The company participated in the construction of many well known bridges and edifices such as: the South Saskatchewan River Bridge (1887); the Alexandra Bridge, Ottawa (1901); the Île d’Orléans Bridge, Île d’Orléans (1935); and the Golden Gate Bridge (1937).

Entranced by rural and urban decay. I am drawn to these forlorn sites because they emote conflicting sentiments of beauty and disintegration.
