Scott’s Old Place

Architecture, Rural Decay

I saw this house hidden behind a stand of trees of an abandoned farm-yard, this past summer, and of course had to check it out. I actually had my husband back up on the road to get a better look at it before getting out of the car to investigate further.

I love how the paint has peeled off the walls and the plaster has crumbled away in some areas to reveal the lattice-work behind it.

Entranced by rural and urban decay. I am drawn to these forlorn sites because they emote conflicting sentiments of beauty and disintegration.
