No Trespassing

One of my favorite places to explore are the Deertrail Resort ruins overlooking the Sooke Pot Holes. They are unfortunately behind a 9 foot fence with No Trespassing / Do Not Enter signs dotting the perimeter.

Moss Cottage Parlor

The parlor was the showcase for Victorian era homeowners; where guests were entertained. A bare room was considered to be in poor taste, so every surface was filled with objects that reflected the owner’s interests and aspirations.

Rain’s impact

With all the rain that has been falling in Sooke, the rivers and creeks are swollen, the trees have delicate lichen growing on them and there are water droplets on everything. One word comes to mind for this gallery: serenity.
